SiMBA is here to support families whose baby has died at any stage during pregnancy, around the time of birth or during the neonatal period by helping to create memories of the time that they have with their baby. We currently provide Memory Boxes to those who have suffered loss at over 154 hospital units across the UK including Simpsons Maternity Unit, Edinburgh; St John’s Hospital, Livingston and the Borders General Hospital, Melrose; we will also send out individual Memory Boxes to parents upon request.
At SiMBA we understand the importance for parents to spend time with their baby in a Family Room setting. Adding a leaf on our Tree of Tranquillity shows parents that they are not alone in their loss and acts as a place to remember and reflect. We offer our services to anyone who has suffered the death of a baby regardless of the date that the loss occurred and we do not charge for any of our services.
It doesn’t take long to realise the pain that parents walk every day after the death of a baby, so walking/running 5, 10, 20K is nothing in comparison but being aware that everyone’s challenge is their own. Please choose SiMBA and support the vital work that that we do with 100% of funds raised going directly to the charity.
Thank you for helping to make a difference.
